Exhibition’s Catalogue, “Vasarely,The Absolute Eye, vol. IIΙ”

This phase focuses on the creation of a software program, which will allow readers, by choosing specific parameters (color, shape and words), to produce images according to the standards of Vasarely’s works, as the artist himself had predicted in his Programming: After 1953, Victor Vasarely began to think about the possibility of creating a plastic language, which could be introduced into an electronic computer. He envisioned the creation of a machine, which could produce thousands of color combinations, would be controlled electronically and would be completed by a system of rheostats. The artist himself said: “Based on my programming, we will be able to recreate all my works, but also the countless ones that the machine will suggest. Thus, the limitation, which is the result of the experience that the artist acquires in the studio, will be overcome”.
