This phase uses the media to present the artist’s work, following once again his convictions, as they are presented in his writings. Understanding the power of the moving image, he stated in 1967: “The artist’s film will become the diffusible, optimal and optimistic work, a genuine common treasure”. In this phase, the museum visitor, while enjoying Vasarely’s works, experiences art through practice and is invited to participate in the creation of Op Art (Optico-kinetic Art) images using a computer. Vasarely anticipated the emergence of this technology and regretted being born a century earlier.
